Project Description

This adaptive reuse project involved the interior renovation of a historic building originally constructed in 1920. The City of Pittsburgh Police Public Safety Center includes a basement workshop, entry vestibule, roll call, dispatch, watch room, command center, restrooms, break room, fitness room, offices, and mother’s room.


The break room features two-tone plastic laminate cabinetry with solid surface countertops, restrooms have plastic laminate sink cabinets, plastic laminate countertop with workstation brackets and support panels are in the lounge, the basement workshop consists of plastic laminate drawer cabinets with solid surface top, and the dispatch/vestibule has a plastic laminate countertop. The materials were AWI Certified.
