Penn State University Willard Building Renovation

Project Description

The 58,000 sq. ft. College of Communications renovation included high-end architectural woodwork and specialty acoustic panels. Our team furnished and installed wood millwork in the atrium, Blumcraft glass door display cabinets, wood wall/ceiling paneling, and general cabinetry with quartz and plastic laminate countertops throughout the space. Additional scope included installation of sound absorbing stretched fabric acoustic panel systems in open areas/meeting rooms. In the production studios, control room, and black box studios work included SelectSound acoustic boards, wire mesh, wood trims, and EcoSorpt cotton acoustical ceilings to reduce ambient noise and excessive reverberation. The AWI-QCP Premium Grade Certification required adherence to detailed AWI standards for fabrication and installation.
