University of Pittsburgh Scaife Hall Addition

Project Description

The School of Medicine renovated and expanded Scaife Hall with a 110,000 sq. ft. West Wing addition to provide collaborative learning spaces.

Our team fabricated a considerable amount of custom eye-catching and purposeful pieces. The monumental stairs were maple veneer wood panels and solid maple wall cap. A multi-story panel wall was created from grain-matched wood veneer with wood reveals. Two reception desks consisted of veneer paneling, maple edging, quartz panels, and maple veneer. Benches featured maple wood planks with maple wood veneer panels and a large stage included Nydree wood flooring. To disguise vents behind louvers, removable wood slats were created. The exterior plaza consisted of black powder coat metal legs with IPE wood benches.
